💛 Dear Green Thumb Families,
Fall has officially arrived! While the temperature still changes day to day, cooler weather will be here before we know it. Please remember to send your child with weather-appropriate clothing, a jacket, and closed-toe shoes, as our classrooms go outside every day, weather permitting.
❤️ A big thank you to all the families who joined us for Back to School Night! It was wonderful to see such a great turnout. We hope you found the evening informative and enjoyed learning more about your child’s daily experiences here at Green Thumb.
🍁 Our students are settling into their routines beautifully — our days are now filled with laughter, learning, and friendship! Teachers are busy planning fun fall activities, so keep an eye out for updates from your child’s teacher. Procare remains our primary source of communication.

❄️ Inclement Weather Policy
Green Thumb does not automatically follow the surrounding school districts’ decisions. We make the decision that best suits our families. Closures will be posted on Procare, Facebook and Weather Watch by 5:30 AM. If it is actively snowing at 5:00 AM with a good accumulation, we will most likely close for the day to ensure the safety of our staff and families.

📱 Procare Check-In & Check-Out
Please remember to check your child in and out of Procare every day! This is VITAL to ensure we account for every child in our facility. If you’re having problems with your app, please try logging out/in to correct the problem or use the kiosk in the foyer.
🧾 Procare Invoices & Credits
Invoices are sent automatically. If your child will be out for vacation, a holiday, or a preschool closure, please notify the office so we can adjust your account. Credits may be applied after invoices are sent — if something seems off, just contact us and we’ll make the correction.
📋 Universal Health Records
These must be updated yearly. Physical exams are often scheduled around your child’s birthday. Forms are available in the office if you need one.
🚗 Parking Lot Safety
Please watch your children closely — the lot can get busy during arrival and pick-up times. No children should be allowed to run around or be unrestrained.
☀️ Shorter Daylight Hours
As days grow shorter, outdoor play will end earlier. Please call ahead so we can have your child ready.
💉 Flu Vaccinations
New Jersey requires children 6–59 months to have an updated flu vaccine by December 31 each year. Please provide the office with updated records after each vaccination.
